Shana Tova

My epic post about my family’s visit is forthcoming but I just wanted to wish everyone a Shana Tova. I’m going to services with my host mom tonight and tomorrow morning (I may have to leave early for class) and to dinner tonight at her middle son’s house. There is challah and honey cake waiting and I saw lots of apples in the fridge. I’m really excited to observe services here and see what kind of Jewish community Rita is part of! I’m so grateful she’s sharing it with me!

To all of my friends and family, near and mostly far, have a sweet new year!! I hope it’s full of health, happiness, adventures, dulce de leche, friends and family. xoxox

My host mom made this challah and tonight i get to eat it.
